St. Francis Church actively takes part in two ministries that contribute to feeding the hungry in our community. The second Sunday of every month is dedicated to Feed My Sheep Sunday. After the worship service, the congregation gathers in the parish hall to assemble 80 sack lunches for the homeless and food insecure. Each sack lunch has a ham and cheese sandwich, chips, cookies, and a fruit cup. These sack lunches are then delivered to Feed My Sheep in downtown Temple. Feed My Sheep is open seven days a week, all year, providing lunch to those in need. St. Francis Episcopal Church has been a steadfast volunteer for over a decade. Churches Touching Lives for Christ (CTLC), a food pantry located in downtown Temple, actively engages in community service by gathering food and other essential items to support those in need. Throughout the year, the congregation organizes food drives, collecting a variety of items such as canned goods, peanut butter and jelly, and macaroni and cheese. These donations are then distributed to individuals and families facing financial hardships.
