On Thursday, June 11, Peggiann and I volunteered at the Mobile Food Pantry in Copperas Cove. The weather was warm, but not too bad. We wore our PPE and sunscreen! Many Mobile Food Pantries are being scheduled throughout 21 counties. If you are interested in learning more or volunteering, then please contact Deacon Tamara. Here are some thoughts from Peggiann about her experience:

Tamara and I volunteered this morning (Thursday, June 11) in Copperas Cove with Central Texas Food Bank. To be out among the living was fantastic. The people pulled their vehicles into the parking lot, guided by Tamara, and I helped load the food into their trunks. I kept thinking about Jesus saying, “Love one another.” There was a mutual gift of sharing our humanity with each person there.  I could see the Christ in everyone who came for food and in everyone who helped. My heart is full of gratitude.
